Investigations / Results of tests

We like to have our patients fully understand what tests we do on them and why. We can provide a record of what test(s) have been done. It is your responsibility to ensure that you help us get the results of all tests to you.

We will give you an indication of when the results are likely to be available and how best to make contact with the practice for the results. It is often necessary to see you to discuss results and then the appropriate action.

We appreciate that there are often delays in accessing hospital results and while it is frustrating we often share your difficulties. We now have an electronic link to Cork University hospital which has helped significantly.

In the interests of effective medical care and your safety, blood tests will be directed by your doctor only.
