Appointments
Planning your visit to the doctor well ahead and thinking through what you wish to achieve at the consultation ensures that as much as possible is achieved. You will normally be seen by the doctor of your choice unless she/he has a full appointment list or is off duty.
Certain issues or procedures need longer consultations or a number of consultations. Forward planning with staff helps us to help you. Despite our best efforts to keep to appointment times some problems can take longer than anticipated and emergency situations may need to be dealt with. For these reasons surgeries are often delayed and patients are forced to wait.
Making your appointment:
To avoid disappointment where possible ring us at the earliest possible time for an appointment, or organise a suitable appointment at end of consultation. Please remember that at the start of each working day there are many patients wishing to be seen.
Where possible we will allocate you an appointment at a time that will suit you and with the doctor of your choice. However, on occasion, because of the high demand, this may not be possible. Your understanding of this situation is appreciated.
